Every September, St. Francis students take the annual
ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) test. This diagnostic
test is taken in every elementary school throughout the
Sacramento diocese, as well as most Catholic and private
schools in the nation. We are very pleased to report
that St. Francis Elementary students in all grades
consistently score above the national and diocesan
averages.
The cumulative collaborations of exceptional teachers
and high academic standards from Kindergarten through
eighth grade can be measured by the outstanding test
scores of our junior high students. This year
(2010-2011) our seventh grade students exceeded
the overall diocesan average test scores by 12
percentile points and exceeded the national average
by 22 percentile points. Our eighth grades
students also received excellent scores by performing
higher than the overall diocesan average by 15
percentile points and higher than the national
average by a whopping 25 percentile points!
Our outstanding spiritual and academic programs insure
that our students leave our school as well rounded
individuals, amply prepared for the challenges of
Catholic high school or their high school of choice.
