History:  Founded in 1895, St. Francis has been educating students spiritually & academically for over 100 years.

Grades:  TK (Transitional Kindergarten) through 8th grade. 

School Hours:
TK & Kindergarten AM Sessions:  8am-11am
Kindergarten PM Session:  12pm-3pm
Grds. 1-4, 8am-3pm
Grds. 5-8, 8am-3:15pm
First Friday of the Month, 12pm Dismissal all grades
All other Fridays 2pm Dismissal all grades

Average Class Size: 32

Extended Day Care:  Open all school days 7am-6pm

Faculty:  17 Teachers, 9 Aides

Tuition:  2011-2012 School Year - $4800
3% Discount for Early Payment in Full

Financial Aid:  Available to registered students based on demonstrated financial need.  Financial Aid amounts are subject to funds available.  

Accreditation:  Dually accredited in 2010 for a full 6 year term from the Western Association for Schools and Colleges (WASC) & Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).

Standardized Testing:
Annual ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills)
Students in all grades consistently score well above the national & diocesan averages.

General Curriculum: Follows the Diocesan standards in core subjects such as Math, English, Science & Social Studies  

Spiritual Development:  Religious Instruction, Prayer Services, Masses, Sacrament Programs

Foreign Languages Offered:  Spanish & Italian

Extracurricular Academics:  Religion Decathlon, Academic Decathlon, Math Decathlon, Mental Math Bowl, Diocesan Speech Contest, CSUS Academic Talent Search, Class Field Trips

Student Activities:  Student Council, Volleyball & Basketball, Cross Country, Choir, Drama Club, Book Club, Car Club, Performing Arts, After School Library & Computer Lab

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School is dedicated to living the Gospel values. Our Franciscan, academically challenging curriculum teaches and supports students in becoming contributing members of their communities.

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School, an educational ministry of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, strives to create a Franciscan environment which serves the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs of our students. Understanding that parents are the primary educators of their children, the staff’s vocation is to inspire and facilitate learning. Together, we instill Catholic Christian values and traditions in our children.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled,
