Drama Club is an extracurricular activity available for 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th graders. In Drama Club, we are very committed to making each student’s experience a positive one, not only by reinforcing the basics of performance learned in classes, but also providing an additional venue for teamwork and pride. The atmosphere will be one where students have fun and look forward to expressing themselves in meetings, performances, and maybe even field trips to see performances!

The goal of this club is to explore the interests of the students with regards to drama. That interest may result in performances, but in this venue we are guided by what the students want to do. Drama Club is not a part of the curriculum or the state standards—it instead provides additional opportunities for expression. Because of this, the projects or type of performance will vary based on student interests and time and space constraints.

The Drama Club creates an atmosphere where those truly interested and committed to performing arts can continue to explore. It is extra-curricular, so the time requirements will be after school. This year, the club will be meeting Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30, though the time will likely increase to twice a week by the late spring.
